Started in the year 1977 Coirfoam (India) Private Limited launched the brand Corfom the most trusted name in sleep products today. Within a year, in 1978 the company became the largest supplier of quality Rubberised seats to Indian Railways.
Soon thereafter, in the year 1979 Corfom launched quilted cover mattresses; a small step that increased the mattress cover life and body support and laid the foundation of many future innovations that are today synonymous to the name Corfom. The Asian Games in the year 1982 was a big leap for India on the international circuit for which Coirfoam became the official supplier.
Thus establishing the faith reposed in the company and our products by thousands of satisfied users. Eight years later, in 1985 the company launched one of the most innovative steps to ensure consumer protection against duplicate products with a unique “Khazana Card” which was very well acclaimed and accepted by the consumer protection bodies.
This was the only offer in the market which also facilitated the customer to take home a high quality genuine Corfom mattress absolutely free using its scratch card system. This was a bold step and made Corfom register as a trusted mattress brand. All this time the company set and maintained high quality standards without relenting to compromise, despite tough market conditions.
13 years later, in 1990 the company started their 2nd plant and doubled the production to cater to its ever growing market demand. Having established a firm foothold in the market over the last 2 decades it was now time to take a multifold leap. For this a major step was taken in the year 1998 with modernization and automation of the company’s manufacturing facilities.
The next step was to source the latest technology and innovations from across the globe to provide Indian consumers the products that were hitherto unheard of or very scarce. With the advent of 21st century in 2001 Coirfoam introduced the world class Spring mattresses and Spring beds for the discerning Indian customer in technical collaboration with ‘I-Cam’ of Italy. With a clear focus to provide better sleeping experience we introduced ‘Orthopaedic’ and ‘Healthline’ series of mattresses, being one of the first companies to work towards healthy sleep.
To fulfill the requirements of all strata of consumers we launched PU Foam in the year 2007 and re-bonded foam in 2008. Another marvel of our R&D team which considerably increases the durability and anti-sagging capability of mattresses. It also enhances the sleep experience of the user for a longer period. More recently we have tied with “Amicor Pure” to offer Anti-allergic mattresses for the Indian consumer, becoming the 1st company in India to do so.
This is in line with our commitment to continue to explore and innovate. Over the past 40 years under the able guidance of qualified industry veterans Mr. J P Agarwal, Mr. Inderjeet Singh Khurana, Mr. Sukhdeep Singh Khurana and Mr. Pankaj Agarwal who know a mattress inside-out (and the entire team of Coirfoam India Pvt. Ltd.) the company has today achieved a paramount position.
